Budgerigar Society Press Release 5th August 2020
A requisition has been received by the Budgerigar Society, signed by 107 members, calling for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). The members have advised that the motion of the EGM will be that, “we wish the Chairman to be removed from office, we the undersigned have completely lost faith and confidence in the chairman’s ability to carry out the wishes of the membership.”
In accordance with the rules of the society (General Rule 20 (ii)), the BS Board met to consider the requisition and unanimously agreed that the EGM can be held.
Following further discussion, they also unanimously agreed that the Society is unable to hold the EGM until Government restrictions on gatherings are lifted. At this time, the Board will reconvene and decide upon the date, time and venue.
